It was rain here this morning, and it has been raining all day long. By looking at the radar, it looks like it might stop in an hour. The temperature has ranged from 44 to 56 degrees, with the wind coming up this evening. Since I am downtown Rochester, I have been walking in the subways and skyways to the clinic and back, so I have not been outside today.
I had a CT scan, blood draw, and an ECG all before 2;00 today. All of the test were normal, so I an off for my ablation at 6:45 in the morning. This is all good news. Despite the fact that I have had three episodes of my heart beating fast, they feel that there will be success with the procedure. If the heart is beating fast for any given time, the upper part of the heart may become weak, so my heart should still be strong. Regarding my current condition and without my heart beating fast for a period of time, it looks like this will be a successful procedure. They stated that the procedure will take from 2 to 4 hours and recovery will take another 2 to 4 hours. I have a friend coming up here from Ames to be with me when I wake up and spend the night with me, and that will be good.
Otherwise, not much going on. And, with the rain, I was not able to go outside and walk for a while, so I did extra walking in the skywalks to be my exercise. Therefore, it is off for the ablation procedure.
