I had my visit with the cardiologist this morning, and the discussion went well. My heart rate expands when I get an infection, as was pointed out with my sinus and urinary track infections, with the problem being that I do not know when my heart rate has increased. To make a long story short, they are going to perform the ablation process in about six weeks. From what the cardiologist told me, the procedure is getting simpler and they are able to do a better job preform the process on the heart. it is also less abrasive on the heart. This all sounds like good news.
Although they go into a vain in the leg, it still can take up to three hours for the procedure. I have been under anesthesia in the past, but I do not know if I have been under this long in the past. As for my hernia surgery, on Wednesday afternoon I will be on a video conference to learn more about anesthesia, and, from my point of view, I feel like I need a more of an understanding about anesthesia to be under this long.
My prostate is enlarged, and this lead to problems urinating, like not emptying my badder. Until my bladder is back to where it belongs, I am not sure that they know how the enlarged bladder affects my urination. maybe this is a topic for next year. However, since I looked up the treatment of enlarged prostates today, it seems like there is a simple treatment using steam to eliminate the mass that is causing the swelling in the prostate. If eliminating the swollen prostate is this simple, I an=m all for the treatment.
My hernia surgery is schedule a week from Monday on the 17th, so I have a week to get ready for the surgery.
It is nice that it is Friday, since there are no doctors to talk to tomorrow, so I can relax. Since my appointment with the cardiologist was late in the morning, I am still here in Rochester, and I will be traveling back to Wisconsin tomorrow.
