Property Owners Voting

The framers only wanted property owners voting in elections, since they felt that property owners would take responsible for the country. As we look at the USA today, it becomes clear that property owners, like farmers, do take an interest for what is best for the county. As for those that do not have property, they are the ones that are protesting, since they do not have a tie to the sovereignty of this country. If only property owners were voting today, this country would look completely different than today. From the framer’s vision on what this country would look like in the future, their vision has been permanently defected.

In the terms of today’s clique, the framers felt that property owners would have “skin in the game” to voter responsible for the government. Without responsible votes, they knew that the country would run on chaos. Therefore, with all citizens voting, this was not in the interest of the framers.

In the colonial days, mostly of the USA citizens were family farmer. It would be clear that the husband and wife would have been talking about the politics, if the wife was interested in politics. When it became time to go to the meeting house to choose someone to represent the concerns of the people in the area, the husband was the one that went to the meeting house with their feelings on government issues. They would choose a representative to take there issues on to the next stage of the voting process. Regarding the issue of the representative taking the political views from the convention to the next level he would go with the feelings of the citizens that he represents and the view points of his wife, and his wife may even go to the next conversation with him. This process would repeat itself as the process moved from the county, state, and national levels.

Obviously, there were single women that were property owners at the time of the drafting of the US Constitution. It can be assumed that the women’s feelings were conveyed to the men that were going to the meeting houses and conventions. This would have probably been true of Martha Curtis, after her husband died, before she married George Washington, since she was one of the largest property owner in the country, but one has to remember that she was married George Washington long before the US Constitution was ratified. But, as time rolled on, women owning property would have been giving the right to vote, since there was so many single women in the country after the ratification of the Constitution, and especially after the civil war it would not have been correct to have land with no reputation. There would have had to be a law passed by congress and signed by the president for women to vote.

In the framers environment today, women that owned their own businesses, professional women that own property, and women farmers would be allowed to vote, but not women that does not own property, and men that owned property would be allowed to vote. This would change the perspective of women in this country, since they would have the same perspective of men. Women’s liberation movement would have never happened to the extent that it has in today’s world. There are women that have taken women’s liberation too far, with bazar forceful tactics, to prove that they are better than men that has hurt the society that we live in over the past century, or longer. The men are not any better, by also using bazar tactics to keep women from being equal to men. But, if only property owners were allowed to vote, out country would be so much better with the property owners (men and women) working to bring the best to this great country.

If only property owners voted, the dynamics of our government would be completely different, with all people trying to own property to vote. There would be a major push for people to own their own homes Regarding the rental apartments that we see today, they would be condominiums. If a person wanted to run a business, they would want it to be on land so that they could vote, if they did not have property to live in at that time. With the push for people to own property, it is understandable that property would cost more and that there would be a push for people to own property. There would be a big demand for good realtors all through the country.

It came be speculated that the protesting in the streets would be none existent, since the protestors that we see on the streets probably do not own property. When it come to having skin in the game of there alliance to the Constitution, they have none and they admit that they have none. If the protesters did have skin in the game, like today’s farmers, they will discuss the issues with their politicians on a constructive level of conversation, as most farmers do today when they have a issue that they want to bring to the attention of their congressperson. It is like when a journalist goes in to these protester and asks them what the issues are that they are protesting, and most of them say that they do not know, since they are there for the party atmosphere, and they have no idea on the topics that the organizers put together for the protest. Some of the protesters are paid by millionaires and billionaires out side of this country wanting this country to be lead a dictator; or small governmental governments, like clans, cartels, tribes, or etc. In other words, these financiers are forcing our government into dictatorships where they have power and not the USA where we are a country by the people and for the people. The better idea is for these protestor to purchase property and see what is really needed to protect the constitution. These protesters have no skin in the game of politics.

By looking into this problem of no ownership into the US Constitution, high schools must not be teaching USA history and government, since the younger generations seems to have no skin in the game of supporting the US constitution. From what is being gathered, the younger generation has no idea on what our country stands for, the dedication of the constitution framers, how this country operates, and the freedoms that we so jealously hold, since they are ready to through away our government in. a moments notes to be ruled by a socialist government, with all previous socialist governments failing. Regarding the type of socialist government that is being pushed by the citizens, they do not understand that they would loss all of the freedoms that they live by today. With all decisions starting at the grass roots, it is concerning that students coming out of high school does not have a better understanding of the USA government.

The country would be so much better if only those that have skin in the game were voting, and there would have never been this insane Women’s libertarian movement that is weird and has been never needed, since women should not only be on the same playing field as men but bring their special talents to the table. As for these protestor that bring offbeat issues to protect, they need to put a little skin in the game by owning property and seeing the real issues that need to be come to the government, like protecting the US Constitution. Students coming out of high school should learn about the US government, and there need to have political skin in the game by owning property. As I continue the study the minds of the framers, I am totally amazed by their insight into the constitution and how much better our government would be if we would have followed their ideas. With today’s commitment to get illegal aliens the right to vote, it seems like this issue is so far deflected that it would be impossible to get property owners to vote.
