Out of Levelland

I am out of Levelland, As of yesterday, I found out the wires on the trailer battery, that looks like a car battery, came loose; therefore, the switch that locks the brakes if the trailer becomes disconnected from the truck showed out. It melted the switch box, as shown in the photo below. notice that insulation covering the wires has been burnt off. .

Trying to get help to fix RVs is a pain. They charge major money to come out, and, if they are local and not from a reparable company, it seems like a person is at their mercy. The switch was burnt so bad that it could be smelled from so distance away. The person that came out thought the electrical components in each of the wheels were also burnt out. After trying for three days to get the right parts for each wheel, they determined yesterday that the electrical components for each of the wheels were fine. So, they ended up charging me for the labor to replace the switch and the time that they wasted taking the wheels on and off to determent that they had the wrong parts. What a nightmare.

Today, I did travel about 200 miles to the southeast to Hords Creek Lake, just west of Coleman, Texas, or between Abilene and San Angelo. It was a nice sunny day with temperatures in the sixty, but with wind of 16 mph with gust up to 24 mph I had to hold the truck at 60 mph, and it cost me extra in gas. I am here for two days, and not sure. what is going on after that at this time. Stand by for more information.
