Deflection

Today was an interesting day for me. It started at 7:00 when I got a call from my grandnephew’s mother, and she asked me if I could take Rylee to school. So, I got up to there place and Rylee was stating that he did not like the substitute teacher, since the teacher was not nice to him, and the conversation went as follows:
Rylee you need to go to school
I do not like the substitute teacher
Rylee sometimes we have to do things that we do not like to do.
I do not like the substitute teacher.
Come on Rylee you have to go to school.
I want to stay home and spend time with Uncle Roger.
His mother and I could not stop laughing. What is a person to do? he is so fill with love and affection. he stayed with me most of the day. We through the football around first thing in the morning. At mid morning, we cleaned the husks off walnuts. This afternoon he went with his mom and purchased a birthday gift for me and one for his grandfather, since we have birthdays on the same day. This evening we went to an authentic Italian restaurant. Rylee had spaghetti and meatballs, and I had a dish with cod, shrimp, lace noodles, and it was good, since I have never had a dish were the cod and shrimp was so well seasoned. It was good. I took Rylee to his grandparents, and I am now recording the day.

That Rylee boy; you just have to love him. he is now 87 pounds and he wants me to pick him up so we can hug. What a kid.
