The weather seems to be getting back to normal, with the low now at 34 degrees. The snow has melted off of the streets/highways today. There was a beautiful sunset tonight, without any clouds.
It appears that pulling my trailer is hard on truck batteries, since I had to replace the one in my truck that was only 1.5 years old. It seems like the original battery went out after I started pulling my trailer. Maybe it is the extra bumps that is experienced by pulling the trailer.
After I finally get away from the dealership, I went to Walmart. With people in Walmart before the snow storm, it became interesting on what was gone in the store. The big items seem to be bread, meat, and eggs. Although the store had been closed for two days, there was not a big rush on items in the middle of the afternoon. The store was cool on the inside like they do not install furnaces in the store for this type of low temperature.
I then went to Tractor Supply to get one of my propane tanks filled, but they were out of propane. I was concern keeping the trailer warm with the temperature going down to 27 degrees. But I just looked at the low temperature for tonight is to be 34 degrees, so I will have enough propane.
The hotel and the dealership had only minimal water flowing, so I did not get a chance to get my shower this morning. They said that there a number of water main breaks through out the city. I can believe that, since this area is not ready for any frost in the ground, and I was wondering if they have the parts to fix water main breaks from the frost.
My trailer is doing just fine. I connected the water and there are no water leaks, so it is off for another night in the trailer.
It was interesting yesterday to see the bayous frozen and snow on the beaches of the Gulf of Mexico, even a little ice on the beach. With no winds, there was very little waves on the beach. This was an unexpected sight to see.
My rent on my camping site is up tomorrow, but since I put in my order to have my medication refilled on Sunday and they were to be refilled on Wednesday, but I have not been notified that they have been filled with the pharmacy being closed for two days, so I will probably have to extend my stay tomorrow, and I am sure that will not be a problem with all of the open sites here. It is amazing, but some of the trailers have been here through this cold weather, and it looks like they have not have to get propane. A camper next to me a few days ago stated that I should get an electric space heater for the trailer, and then I would not have to worry about getting propane all the time, and I have paid for the electric in my site rent. Just before the cold snap, I looked for space heaters, but they were all sold out. I will have to buy one once I can find one to buy.
Tomorrow is another day, so it will be interested to see what it brings, after the last few days.
