Deflection

It is a nice fall day here in southern Wisconsin, with a strong wind to blow through the tree branches and grass that gives this time of the year a real special feeling that can be cherished this time of the year. It is a little warm this time of the year at 79 degrees, but it cools off nicely in the fifties at night.

I heard a news caster the other day state that we are in a civil war. Although that does feel like the right attitude, since there are a number of ways to look at a civil war in this county without ammunition, they were referring to religious. And, for the most part, this is one way at look at the civil war that mainly covers the issues.

Does our government bureaucracy enforce every word in the US Constitution? Or, does the bureaucracy massage the words to be enforced to the citizens? To make these two questions relevant, this is the civil war that is being fought in this countries government every hour of everyday. With the Founding Fathers being God fearing men, they visioned that every word on the Constitution and law to be enforced. This is the theme of the essay below.

As stated, this country is in a Civil War between Religious/moral values and social values. For most US citizens, this Civil War has not been obvious. But, by looking back over the years, it becomes obvious on what has been going on for years. The Founding Fathers would have never wanted this country to look as it does today, and their vision for this country has deflected, but is there away for this country to deflect back into shape? An impossible question to answer.

President Biden was sworn in on January 22, 2021. By May 28, he had signed enough executive orders to against 29 Catholic teachings. For those that were aware of these executive orders, it made no sense that Biden would go against his the teaching of his own church. On June 18, the Catholic Church vote that Biden was not in good standing with the Church and he was not to take communion. September 5 Biden stated that taking the Eucharist was a “private matter.” On May 21, 2022, Archbishop States that Nancy Pelosi is not entitled to receive communion, and then on June 29 she receives communion from the Vatican. When seeing the reactions of both Biden and Pelosi, it was like they were arrogant teenagers about taking the Eucharist, since the Catholic Church had stated that they were on in good standings of the church and should not be taking the Eucharist. But more to the point, why would anyone go against the teaching of their Church? Or, better yet, why would anyone make a mockery out of their own Church? The answer to the question is over whelming, but this is the push for socialism.

To the contrary, the Founding Fathers were highly religious men. As the historical guides around the Boston area will make verbal reference to, John Adams was a Puritan and he carried his Bible with him. These men prayed to god, and they based the Constitution on the Bible. As with the Bible, they believed that every word carried a meaning in the Constitution. The judicial system was set up to interpret every word in the Constitution. As with the military, they believe in the separation of church and state. As seen in the years of history in Europe, they did not want the clergy to take over the government, as was also the case of the military taking over the government, as Washington’s officers were planning to take over the government behind his back. It was to be a true separation of church and state. Obviously, although there were 2,500 Jews in this country at the time that the Constitution was write, the Founding Fathers would have no idea of the other religions that are now in this country. Despite the major changes that took place since the Constitution was written, the Founding Fathers expected at the movement of our govenment would be based on religious values, if not moral values.

The conservatives in this country still expect that each word in the Constitution have meaning. With the world changing all the time, as the Founding Father knew would happen, they expected that the Constitution and federal laws would have to be updated in our changing world. At the time that the Constitution was written, the Founding Fathers had discusses on periodic Constitutional Conventions to meet the needs of our changing world. The conservatives do take in the rich history of our government, Constitution, laws, and those that died to protect the constitution with each bill that is passed, each law that is enforced, and each law that is reviewed for justice. As President Ronald Reagan stated, I do not take my coat off in the prestigious oval office. That is taking the Constitution to heart.

As for the liberals, they believe that the constitution and laws should be massaged to fit their needs. So much for “we the people” found in the preamble of the Constitution. And, as we look at the liberals today, they are individuals that stick out in a crowd and every one of them are attached to a group, and they do not want to associated with the Constitution. We hear it all: we the blacks, we the hospices, we the transexuals, we are for abortion, and the list goes on and on. Abortion is the best example of the liberals not wanting to follow the Constitution, since Amendment 10 clearly states the local social programs falls under the responsibility for the states to govern. As with Roe verses Wade, liberal Supreme Court Judges made abortions a legal federal law, without any regard to the Bill of Rights written by our Founding Fathers. If each word of the Constitution and federal laws are not followed, then what good is the Constitution? Our country falls into a state of chaos. If Biden and Pelosi are not going to follow the teaching of their church, then what good is there church? The liberals are making a mockery out of our country that stands for world order. The world leaders in other countries must think that they can push this country around. as some of them do.

The Founding Fathers feared a two party legal system, since they knew that it would pull the county apart. James Monroe, the last Founding Father, work desperately hard to prevent a two party system, but the two party system came in after his time in office. Although the two party system has changed over the years, it has always been a polarizing force. As for the conservatives, they never change, but they are misunderstood. By following the constitution to the letter, it seems like these conservatives are cold and uncaring, when the opposite is the true. They care about the people, as Jesus did, and they believe in grace, as Jesus did. As with Jesus, a person can follow religious and/or political beliefs and take care of the people. The current liberal movement seems to start during the 1968 Democratic Convention, during the Vietnam War was on. The protesting liberals wanted to be heard. They took a stand against the Constitution. This movement has taken a the Democratic Party to where it is today. Where the liberals do not read any words in the Constitution or federal laws. As they learned to take a stand against the Vietnam War, a war that was between the USA and the Soviet Union, they are now standing up for any group that takes an interest against the Constitution and/or federal laws. A clear division between those that follow the Constitution and those that will not follow the Constitution or socialism.

So, as it has been well stated now in the press, this is a civil war between the Constitution and social values, or the conservatives and liberals. The liberals feel strongly for their causes, as can be seen by to assignation attempts on President Trump. It is clear that the some of the conservative and liberal lines are divided by states, or even a group of states, but this problem can also be seen from neighbor to neighbor as one drives down a street. Is it time to think of succession? The eastern counties of state of Oregon is working to join the stated of Idaho, since these countries are more conservation than the western counties. And, if this successions works, there will be major reapportioning of the counties in most states, as in the state of Illinois where Chicagoland is liberal and takes all of the states funds for operate the needs in Chicago. Illinois is a prime state for secession. There is making great progress for secession in Oregon following the federal laws. Maybe secession is the way of the future to not allow for a civil war with guns blazing.

The Founding Father’s vision of this country is deflected, and it seems like it will be deflected for some time to come. But, with the changes that is being seen in the poles with the liberal hypertrophy, that seems to come from the Obama administration, people are getting fed up with high inflation rates and presidential executive orders that take away our rights. (It should be noted that Europe is also feed up with the liberal move, since the recent elections have installed conservative leaders.) This hypertrophic will change with new presidential leadership, but how long will it take until it is the government is like what we grew up with in the home of the free and brave? Or, by referring to the Preamble of theConstitution: “we the people?” Only time will tell, if it ever happens.
