It was a cloudy day here today, but still wet from all of the rain the last couple of days. The high was 71 degrees.
I had Bible Study this evening, so I will keep this Journal entry short.
As I have previously stated, I enrolled in the executive section of the Mayo Clinic care unit. And, as I have previously stated, they are thorough. So, just before I was scheduled for all of my appointments on April 16 and 17, I was contacted by Mayo’s research section to find out that there is a research project to study over fifty types of cancer. Therefore, when I gave blood for my blood test, there was four test tubes for this cancer research. (Nothing like taking a long time of typing to keep everyone in suspense for the results.) Mayo Clinic contacted me and informed me that I do not have the DNA for types of cancers tested. This is good news.
I had a feeling that the test would come out negative. A few years ago I was contacted for I believe 16 types of cancer using my DNA. Also, with the longevity in my family, I was not worried. My uncle is 94, my grandfather died of an accidental death at 93, my dad is 91, my mom is 89, and mom’s cousin is 93, although she contracted Polo when she was in her teens. I did not have too much to worry about. But this test I hope will help others in the family.
Since it is getting late, I am going to sign off for now. Maybe I will try typing tomorrow, since I do have a couple essays completed and they just need to be sent out to others.
Roger
