Journal Entry – On the Road, Again

It is time for me to take my fall trip north to enjoy the colors. I left mom’s home this morning at 10:00. Since I had plenty of time, I traveled the highways instead of the Interstate Highways. By pulling the trailer, I feel that I am an obstacle on a busy Interstate, like around the city of Madison. I did drive about 75 miles on I-39 south of Merrill, since I am staying in Council Grounds State Park. It is about half way to the Porcupine Mountains State Park on the south side of Lake Superior.

It was hot today, like 85 degrees here in north central Wisconsin on the first day of October. The leaves are starting to turn color, so I am getting here in the prime of the colors. The corn up here is more rip than it is in southern Wisconsin. I when down to the Wisconsin River at sunset, and I got some nice photos.

I forgot the cord to charge my computer. So, I guess that I can drive back down to Best. Buy in Wausau 25 miles for here to get a cord in the morning. They open at 10:00, so I have time in the morning. This is how things go.

Tomorrow it is on to Porcupine State Park.
