It was an overcast day with the high of 83 degrees.
This is turning out to be a good trip for me, since I am seeing so many of my cousins. Late this afternoon and early this evening I was with cousins Adajune and Phyllis Parker. Like my mom, Adajune is suffering from dementia, but her dementia has probably not as advanced as my mom’s. So, Phyllis and I talked about dementia and compared notes. It is sure nice to have family to discuss dementia with… The more that Phyllis and I discuss these dementia issues, the closer we will be come as cousins. This is what family is all about; being there for each other.
Other wise, I stayed in the hotel today and relaxed. By being around mom with her dementia, it is nice to get away and relax for a while. I even slept a little longer this morning. From everything that is written about dementia, the family caregivers need to get away from time to time.
Since it is getting late, I an going to relax for the rest of the evening.
