Journal Entry

This seem to be the time of the year that I do not enjoy with overcast skis and mud. It seems like I could spend from the middle of November to Christmas in the south. The with the snow on the ground, I can enjoy the next three months with sunny skis. The high today was 38 degrees.

I feel that I want to get back into writing about how this country has deflected since the founding father wrote the US Constitution. This time I will write about abortion, so please understand that it is just a hot topic and is seems like I am going to write my thoughts and feelings. I am going to write about it abstractly, and not from the point of view that I am for or against abortion, since I feel that there is no good conclusion when it is determined that a fetus should be aborted. But, after reviewing the tenth amendment to the US Constitution, I feel that abortion should be determined by the state governments and not the federal government. In this Journal Entry, I am only going to cover the introduction of the next two essays. As you will read below, I am looking at this to gain a different persecutive. Or, to enhance my daily life, by looking at all persecutive.

Abortion – Part I

When I was crating my blog, it is to write about the diversions from the Founding Father’s visions of that they wrote in the US Constitution. But, when it comes to abortion, they would have had not idea that technology would come alone that would allow for a fetus to be physically remove from the womb. However, with the Ten Amendments, they did assign local social laws to be part of the states government, with the tenth amendment being discussed in the third essay.

To better understand the emotional issue this topic, it seems like it is better to take an abstract point of view. In todays terms, it is better to look at his topic from 1,000 feet and see what is causing all of these feeling by some many people. In this regard, I am in good company: The farther of this country, George Washington. There was times when he need to see both sides of an issue in order to make a sound decision and his method was adventurous. He would take a row boat out in the Potomac River with Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson and they discussed controversial topics. From all reports, the boat never capsized. (If today’s politicians resolved issue by the George Washington method, it seems like this country would be better off than it now.)

I will be writing from my observation on abortion, and I will be commenting on observations. There may be people that have not seen abortion from my perspective and this is fine. Many may also not agree with my commentary. But the point here is to look at the issue from a different perspective, and not to get frustrated with the topic or me for writing the next essay.

If any one can guess my feeling on abortion from the second essay, I have not done my job of writing the essay from an abstract point of view. My personal feels of being for or against abortion are not important in the second essay.

Regarding the second essay, there is only one conclusion that can be taking from the contents: There is no good answer when it is decided that the fetus is not wanted. If the fetus is born, there is a good chance that the child could have a rough live. Or, if the fetus is aborted, there could be emotional issue for the parents for life.

However, there is one point that I will make perfectly clear in the last essay: Abortion should not be a federal law. These type of social issues should be part of the state government’s laws. Since the states are closer to the people, they should be writing laws for their citizens. By taking a closer look at this issue in each state, there will always be states that will make abortion legal. For some people, they may have to drive further.

From my interpretation of the US Constitution, it is a document written to be protected from all enemies foreign and domestic. For those that want abortion to be a federal law, I cannot see how the abortion of a fetus can come to the same significances as Russia pointing thermo nuclear weapons towards the United States. So, this does not make sense to me.

You can expect the next two essays to cover abortion. If you do not agree with my commentary, this is fine.
