Deflection

Today has been eventful. A couple of days ago, dad’s first cousins Dwight and Joyce came down with Covid and wrote an email that they would not be able to attend the Helle Reunion this years. (For those that are not familiar with my family, my great grandparents were married over 115 years ago and we are still celebrating their marriage.). This meant that their brothers would not be flying in from Arizona. Also, their sister would not make the trip from Indiana, since her daughter could not get off from work. Today, in my sisters family, four adults came down with covid. Now, I am my mom primary caregiver, since my sister is under quarantine for the next several days. Since my nephews wife usually takes care of mom on Saturday, we have no care givers scheduled at this time. To add to the situation, I will have to take care of my five year old grand nephew on Saturday. Although I would love to take him to the family reunion, it seems like he is a little too active for a trip of this length, unless I have him watch video games the whole length of the time, but that is not good for anyone. Therefore, I sent an email to my cousins stating that I propose a virtual meeting instated of meeting a Faith Bible Camp in Yates City, Illinois. I have heard back from one cousin stating that we should go for it. so I will request information for the virtual meeting tomorrow.

My dad stated that he was not going to make the trip to the family reunion this year. Since he turns ninety this month, it seems like we our family reunion could have included a birthday party.

It was a beautiful evening tonight with a still wind and the temperature in the upper 70s, but my mom’s sundowner mental issue got in the way. She was beside her self and I could not get her away from the burning issues that were bothering her.

So, I guess that tomorrow is another day. Just how that it does not have as many events as I have gone through today. But I thought that it would be worth my while to get today documented.
