Journal Entry

Today was a great summer day, with the temperatures on the 70s, not many clouds, and no wind.  As for a summer day, it would have been nice to bottle it for other days that are not so nice.

Since it was a nice day, I spent most of the time on mom’s back porch soaking in the day.  Since mom gets restless in the middle of the afternoon, I took here for a ride through the country side.  Since there is nothing that she can really do around the house, it seems like a drive is something that she can focus on as the scenery go by the window.  But I am not sure that it worked to night, since she was go the go when we got back to home, since I was hoping to relax a little before preparing supper.

Go back the Olivia Newton-John, I find this a real mind warp.  She was born in England, grew up in Australia, and developed her music career in England.  But on of her first songs were: On the Banks of the Ohio.  How in the world would she have known what life was like in the United States on the banks of the Ohio River?  But the song was catchy and I liked.
